The picture is of an American actress, Patricia Rae "Paget" Brewster. She is best known for her roles as Special Agent Emily Prentiss on the CBS crime drama Criminal Minds (2006–2012; 2016–2020), and as Kathy in the NBC sitcom Friends (1999–2000).
Brewster was born in Concord, Massachusetts, the daughter of Galen Brewster, an administrator at a school for troubled children, and Hathaway Brewster, a government worker. She has two older brothers, John and Brewster. Brewster attended Concord Academy and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in theater.
After graduating from college, Brewster moved to New York City to pursue an acting career. She made her Broadway debut in 1995 in the play "Love's Labour's Lost". She also appeared in the off-Broadway productions of "The Misanthrope" and "As You Like It".
In 1997, Brewster made her television debut in an episode of the sitcom "Frasier". She went on to appear in a number of other television shows, including "Law & Order", "The Practice", and "Will & Grace".
In 1999, Brewster landed her breakout role as Kathy, the girlfriend of Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), on the NBC sitcom "Friends". She appeared in 11 episodes of the show during its final two seasons.
In 2006, Brewster joined the cast of the CBS crime drama "Criminal Minds" as Special Agent Emily Prentiss. She remained on the show for six seasons before leaving in 2012. She returned to the show in 2016 and has remained a main cast member ever since.
In addition to her work on television, Brewster has also appeared in a number of films, including "The Cider House Rules" (1999), "Love Actually" (2003), and "The Screaming Room" (2011).
Brewster is married to Steve Damstra, a musician. They have two children together, a son named Julian and a daughter named Eli.
